Trent Park Elementary Honors Veterans with Special Lunchtime Celebration

Trent Park Elementary School proudly honored the service and sacrifice of military veterans on Friday, November 7th, during a heartfelt lunchtime celebration designed to recognize the heroes connected to their school community.

Students were invited to bring a veteran, whether a parent, grandparent, guardian, or family friend, to share a special lunch in a decorated VIP area created just for the occasion. Patriotic décor, student smiles, and warm conversations filled the space, making the event both festive and meaningful.

One of the most powerful elements of the celebration was a special display in the cafeteria featuring a TPE parent's military uniform, service photos, and an honorable discharge certificate. The exhibit provided students with an opportunity to learn more about military service, reflect on its significance, and gain a deeper appreciation for those who protect our nation. Students were also able to ask the veteran any questions they had about the items on display.

Trent Park Elementary shared that they hoped each veteran in attendance felt truly valued and appreciated for their dedication and bravery. The school emphasized the importance of helping students understand the sacrifices made by service members and the impact veterans have on the community.

“We are honored to recognize the veterans within our TPE family,” Mrs. Ashley Faulkenberry, principal, shared. “Thank you for your service and dedication to our country.”
